Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Sam Central (the app), this website, and related services such as Sana (the AI assistant). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Important notes

  • Not medical advice: Sam Central is for personal tracking and informational insights. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or treatment.
  • Use your judgment: if you have urgent or emergency concerns, contact local emergency services or a clinician.
  • Insights are informational: analytics and AI outputs may be imperfect and should not replace professional advice.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract and comply with applicable laws. If you are under the age required to consent in your jurisdiction, you may use the Services only with a parent/guardian’s consent.

AI features and API keys

Sana and other AI features may require you to add your own OpenAI API key in settings. Your key is used to authenticate requests for AI processing. Keep it secure and do not share it. You are responsible for any usage or charges associated with your key.

Payments

If paid features are offered, they are sold through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple and subject to Apple’s terms. You can manage purchases in your Apple ID settings.

Acceptable use

  • Do not misuse the Services or attempt to interfere with normal operation.
  • Do not attempt to access other users’ data or bypass security controls.
  • Do not use the Services for illegal, harmful, or abusive activities.
  • Do not reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse APIs beyond normal use.

Your content and data

You retain ownership of your data. We use your data only to provide the Services (for example, to generate insights or sync data when you enable optional features).

Content & intellectual property

The app and website (including designs, code, and branding) are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your own purposes.

Third-party services

The Services may integrate with third parties such as Apple (App Store, iCloud, Health), Cloudflare, and OpenAI. Their terms and policies apply to those services.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that insights will be accurate for every situation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for safety/security reasons.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
